Together we will focus on the skills of speaking clearly, body and spatial awareness, improvisation and acting. The drama learning focus will support classroom literacy by integrating this Term’s focus of persuasive text. This will be supported by exploring advertisements.

Well done 1/2CT! You successfully created a persuasive advertisement about Toothbrushes for crocodiles!!! You recalled your dialogue and tried hard to speak clearly with good volume and expression. You also knew when and how to move your body in the performance space for the camera. The ‘second’ advertisement shows the improvement in your performance. How do you feel about your skills and the advertisement?

Reflecting on our learning in Terms 1 and 2, 2013
During Terms One and Two students have learnt about the fundamental elements of music (pitch, volume and tempo)
Some of their reflections are….
I have learnt about tempo. Tempo is the speed of the music (everyone agrees with Giancarlo’s description)
We learnt about pitch. Pitch is high, middle and low sounds (everyone agrees with Kane’s description)
We learnt about music. Music is made up of sounds and silence (everyone agrees with Lucy’s description)
We learnt about volume. Volume is soft, loud and in the middle sounds everyone agrees with Ashleigh’s description)

Welcome to the students of 1/2CT in 2012. We will have a wonderful year exploring music, acting, singing and dance together. How exciting – it’s a whole school production year!!!
